Things to bring on board with you
Bring a medium weight jacket. It can be cool/cold on the open water during the evening and at night.
Bring sunglasses. having a strap to hold them onto your head is a good idea. A floating one is even better. If you drop them, and they go overboard, they are likely to be gone forever.
Bring your goofy floppy hat as the sun can be harsh.
Bring sunscreen, the sun can burn you pretty quickly.
Bring a waterproof case/bag for your smart phone if you are likely to use it in a kayak or swimming.
Bring bug spray as there is the possibility of pesky little flying bugs in the evening when near the shore.
Bring white wine. Sadly, red wine will stain many of the things on the boat and these stains are difficult to remove.
Bring your favorite adult beverages.
If you are a group, please bring towels. We have beach towels, but perhaps not enough for every one.
Things to keep in mind while on board
If you get in the water, please use the shower on the swim platform to wash the salt off of you before coming back on board. Salt is hard to clean up.
Bring your sense of adventure and fun.
Please write your thoughts and comments about your experience in our blue guest book.
Things to NOT DO while on board
No tobacco products in any form. Please don’t try to sneak them on board.
No Shoes – While on board, please remove your shoes as this prevents street dirt from getting in the interior and dirt and shoe marks on the white surface areas of the boat. And ladies, please, no high heels.
No women pants or shorts with metal decorations on the back pockets or other parts. These metal parts will damage the wood finish of the interior and will damage the vinyl seating.
No Red Wine – red wine makes hard to clean stains everywhere it is spilled. I know, red wine is my favorite and this makes me sad.
No obnoxious drunks always they are always unpleasant – Please keep your adult beverages under control. There is the option to swim home for those who cannot control themselves.
Do not put napkins, paper towels, sanitary napkins, tampons, or anything other than the provided biogradable toilet paper into toilets.

Clyde Butcher While in the Big Cypress Preserve, a must stop is to visit Clyde Butcher’s photo gallery. Beyond the aesthetic qualities of Clyde Butcher’s work, what distinguishes his landscape photography from that of other well-known photographers are the incredibly detailed mural-sized prints he produces on fiber base silver gelatin paper. By carefully matching view camera format size to the subject matter photographed, Butcher is able to make prints measuring up to 5×9 feet that allow the viewer to more fully embrace the breadth and scope of the landscape as Butcher experienced it in the field.
